The Barton Farms Pumpkin Patch. Family-owned Barton Farms is a Van Alstyne institution! It’s located right across from Van Alstyne High School on Old Hwy 6 and offers all sorts of fun for your whole family, including hayrides, a bounce house, cornhole, a mini football field, pumpkin bowling, duck races, and so much more! Tickets are just $12 per person, and kids aged one and under get in free. Admission includes a ticket for the hayride, although the popular pumpkin slingshot (!) costs extra. There’s so much to see and do at this kid-friendly pumpkin patch in Van Alstyne, TX that you may want to plan a whole day for it. On Saturdays, Barton Farms is open from 10 a.m. until 7 at night. On Sundays, you can come out starting at 12:30 p.m. and stay until 5. While cash is preferred, Barton Farms can also take all major credit cards.

That’s good news for those who want to visit the 5G Farms Pumpkin Patch, which includes more than 7,000 pumpkins as well as a two-acre corn maze, a petting zoo, a bounce house, tons of vendors, face painting, Food Truck Fridays, and so much more! This great family destination is located at 6601 Co Rd 166 in McKinney, and it’s open Wednesday through Sunday throughout the season. Hours vary by day, so check out the website before you visit. The Storybrook Pumpkin Patch. The Storybrook Pumpkin Patch in Frisco, TX is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. until sundown through October 29. There’s no admission for those who wish to buy some pumpkins, but if you want to enjoy some of the fun activities including a petting zoo, bounce houses, hayrides, pony rides, and much more, admission prices range from $5 for teens and adults to $15 for children two and older. (Kids under two are free.) Reservations aren’t required, so stop by anytime during the month of October. Be sure you get in early to get the best pumpkins before they’re all gone!

Preston Trail Big Orange Pumpkin Farm! You’ll find Preston Trail Farms and its Big Orange Pumpkin Farm just a short drive from Mantua! Stop in and enjoy everything from a hay maze and petting zoo to a general store, hardware store, gift shop, café, and more! There’s plenty here for kids and adults to enjoy. You can see pumpkins growing right on the vine and take the one you love the most home with you. It’s open from September 16 through November 22. Head out to 15102 TX-289 in Gunter, TX today!

Trick or treating at Mantua! Of course, once you’ve got that perfect jack-o’-lantern, you’ll want to show it off this Halloween. And fortunately, Halloween is right around the corner here at Mantua. On October 31, our streets will be buzzing with ghosts, goblins, and laughter as our littlest residents enjoy all the tricks and treats of the spookiest night of the year.
